Bay Area Gasket Guy Limited Warranty for Gaskets
What Does This Warranty Cover?
Defects in gasket material or manufacturing which prevent an effective seal or proper function of the door. Examples include:
weak or unfinished seams at welds
rapidly forming tears or holes in both sides of the bellows
loss of magnet
incorrect profile or dimensions
Or any other condition clearly caused by sub-standard material. If we installed the gasket, hardware or made other repairs, the warranty also applies to faulty workmanship.
If the original written quote states “AS-IS, NO WARRANTY” or words to that effect, then only the parts provided are covered by this warranty. This is done when the equipment being serviced, in our opinion, is in such a condition that we cannot confidently back any work done on the equipment. This will be made clear to the client prior to any work being done.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover?
The warranty does not cover material which has been damaged due to misuse, abuse, or accident including improper installation (by others), obvious abuse by your customers, employees or vendors, and "acts of God," or other contingencies beyond our control.
This warranty also does not cover labor to install replacement gaskets not installed by us.
What is the Period of Coverage?
This warranty is in effect for 90 days from the date you take delivery of the original gasket.
What Will We Do to Correct Problems?
We will replace faulty gaskets at no charge by the earliest possible ship date. We will ship replacement gaskets via ground transport, usually through UPS.
If the problem is with the installation, we will return to correct the issue at our earliest opportunity. We may or may not replace the gasket/hardware depending on the nature of the fault.
In some cases, we may request that a faulty gasket is returned to us. If so, we will provide a return shipping label in the box with your replacement gasket. Please put the old gasket in the box and return using the return shipping label.
